Shipping Coordinator (MNC) (Raffles Place)

 JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
 
• Perform daily import and export permit declaration.
 
• Attend to day-to-day enquiries with regards to regional Trade & Customs (T&C) issues from Singapore Office as well as other regional offices.
 
• Person-in-charge to plan and execute bi-annual physical inventory check and inventory reconciliation. 
 
• Assist business departments on products’ import and export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal
requirements.
 
• Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with Singapore Strategic Goods (Control) Act and internal Strategic Trade Control
(STC) policy.
 
• Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics processes, imports and exports, or customer issues.
 
• Collaborate with internal corporate and business departments to ensure smooth shipments in accordance to the
company’s compliance requirements and government regulations.
 
• To undertake any other assignments by Department General Manager.
 
• Other ad-hoc admin duties
 
 

Requirements:
 
• Polytechnic Diploma holder or University graduate (Bachelor of Supply Chain Management/ Operations Management
preferred)
 
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in logistics industry, freight forwarding is an advantage.
 
• Knowledge in Safety Data Sheet (SDS), HS Code and Strategic Goods Control.
 
• Knowledge in handling shipping documents, incoterms, logistics operations and marine insurance.
 
• Qualified Declaring Agent (DA) who has passed the Customs Competency Test for Declarants (SC401).
 
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
 
• Willing and able to assist in OT when required.
 
 
 
Miscellaneous Information:
 
• Working Hours: Mon – Fri: 9am – 6pm
 
• Location: Raffles Place MRT (less than 10 mins travel by walking)
 
• Remuneration Package: $3,500 - $4,500 (dependent on experience) + Good Employee Benefits
 
• On-The-Job training will be provided.
