Assistant Manager (Quality Assurance / Control) (Tuas)

 JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Assist the Manager to Supervise QAC Engineer & Production QC in accordance with the company policies, objectives, plans and budgets for business.
  • Assist the Manager in Develop, organize and provide resources for the implementing of quality control and assurance activities for inspection, testing and measuring of product.
  • Instruct, advice, counsel, review, analyse and appraise the performance of QAC staff.  Ensure that QAC staff are adequately trained & competence in executing their daily responsibilities.
  • Ensure documentation of the company’s quality management system is in place, including policies, objectives, plans, organization, procedures and applicable international standards.
  • Ensure that requirements of ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001 and related legal/ other requirements are complied with, and periodically review significant quality, environmental, safety & health related issues, including their aspects and impacts.
  • Review and provide solution for customer complaints with Production and other personnel.
  • Review effectiveness of corrective actions & implement measures to prevent recurrence of non-conformities.
  • Responsible for the Manager roles when Manager is out of office.
 
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): FMEA, SPC, 8D Reporting.
  • At least 8 years of working experience with minimum 3 - 5 years of management experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Tuas.
  • Preferably Managers specializing in Quality Control/Assurance, Engineering - Others or equivalent.
