Shipping Assistant (MNC) (Town)

 JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
 
• Preparation of sales, purchase, quotation, invoicing, shipping and import/export documentation
 
• Coordination of incoming and outgoing shipment and delivery schedule with logistic agents, suppliers, distributors, freight forwarders and customers etc
 
• Administrate sales and purchase contracts, manage and deliver all documentations and other ad-hoc activities
 
• Provide and improve customer service to support business activities – Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, forwarders for
fabrication and customers to ensure smooth and prompt delivery of goods.
 
• Attend to customers’ enquiries on order status/details
 
• Using SAP on a daily basis to generate documents and doing data entries
 
• Maintain credit control of the business and constantly ensure inventory records are maintained to support sales and
inventory activities
 
• Monitor customer’s shipment closely to ensure order fulfilment and follow-up on accounts receivable
 
• Undertake monthly closing of accounts
 
• Assist & support team members in administration work when required
 
• Other ad-hoc admin duties
 
 
Requirements:
 
• Some knowledge of incoterms, contract administration, and international trade administration will be advantageous.
 
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word
 
• Experience in SAP will be advantageous
 
• Pleasant, good interpersonal & communication skills; meticulous; analytical
 
• Have a strong initiative and self-motivated with good learning mindset
 
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently without supervision
 
• Willing and able to assist in OT when required.
 
 
 
Miscellaneous Information:
 
• Working Hours: Mon – Fri: 9am – 6pm
 
• Location: Buona Vista MRT (less than 10 mins travel from bus)
 
• Remuneration Package: $2,000 - $2,500 (dependent on experience) + Good Employee Benefits
 
• On-The-Job training will be provided.
