• Degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering with 5-8 year’s working experience in Manufacturing industry with project Engineering / management or a combination of training & experience is necessary.
• Project Management – demonstrated success leading cross functional teams. Ability to effectively delegate while maintaining forward motion on key deliverables
• Strong knowledge in manufacturing management principles and concepts, as well as quality systems. Experience in QA engineering, testing and validation will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and SPC analytical methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent business and technical writing.
• Proven team player skills with ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, ability to work under tight deadlines and self-motivated.
• Strong mentoring, training and coaching to junior colleagues, comfortable and capable of leading teams
• Capable of Managing Multiple Projects
• Capable of reading drawings and schematics
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, knowledge of Solid works, AutoCAD will be an added advantage

Job Function:

 

• The incumbent will be responsible to identify, develop, and implement production process methods and improvements, as well as facilitate cost reduction initiatives to drive profitable growth.
• Guide & lead process Engineers to investigate and resolve work-in-process problems. Lead corrective & preventive actions to production issues.
•  Develop innovative solutions, analyze & improve process capability, yield & production capacity.
• Participate in business budget planning, Monitor Capital expenditure plans, source equipment, prepare & submit purchase plans with financial justification & ROI details for management approval.
• Develop & establish product testing and validations. Expand product development and testing capabilities.
• Responsible for new product introduction (NPI), establish process steps, monitor overall product cost and ensure the operating margin and profitability of new products. Ensure conformance to project requirements on specifications, quality, budget and timelines.
• Monitor engineering progress against budget and forecasted schedule. Monitor and manage period costs and expenditures.
• Participate in and lead risk assessments and actively manage the risks of the projects and the business. Plan & forecast equipment spares and upgrading of assembly lines.
• Prepare project cost estimates, budget, schedules and execution plans. Ensure conformance to project requirements on specifications, quality, budget and timelines.
• Lead Value Added/Value Engineering (VA/VE) projects and cost reduction initiatives. Identify improvement opportunities, ensure timely completion, maintain project trackers and submit reports
• Set up and maintain BOM, initiate & follow up drawing updates, Engineering Changes and implementation.
• Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers, demonstrate and promote safe working practices and methodologieIs.
